I started with the MoodLogic client (a week ago or so), seeing an advert at http://www.audiogalaxy.com/ -- then searching the net for
info about audio-fingerprinting I found MusicBrainz.

The number reported on the clients web-site is that they have fingerprints
for 2.1 million songs (but I also see half a million at the MetaDB page).

Perhaps from a marketing perspective, cause it has a custom look and fancy
animations running in the background. From a pure HCI or functionality
perspective then I'd say it sucks big time! ;-)
The only advantage being that their client also know about tempo and mood,
so one can create playlists based on these features.
But the client really sucks! I would never use it myself. Even though they
speak of the MetaDB (from which data is retrieved) then the interface
seems to be propriatory (and the current client is limited to MS Windows).

When installed, the user gets 100 creidts. Each time a song is recognized
then you'll be charged one credit. You can either buy new credits, or earn
them by submitting entries to the database (ratio is 5:100 in your favour,
and a bonus of 250 credits after manually profiliing 50 songs).
I ran the program on my "incomming"-music folder (this is the location for
music not yet "imported" into my database). This drawer contains almost
300 songs, and MoodLogic's client identified 53. Since my taste in music
is not really mainstream, I had a friend of mine test the client, and he
quickly ran out of credits (thus 100 songs were identified).
